Spring Mowing

This service is performed early in the spring. We opt for this instead of power raking so as to avoid any potential damage to the roots of the grass. The spring mow involves cutting the grass very short (1-2”) which allows the moisture to soak down into the roots easier. It also allows the aeration to penetrate deeper into the roots. The lawn is mowed very slowly and the clippings are caught and bagged. The spring mow also assists with removing a good deal of the excess thatch in the grass.
