Colorado soil can easily become dry and compacted preventing the grass from thriving. Commercial aeration is done to loosen that compaction and allow needed air, water and nutrients to reach the roots. This helps to promote new growth.

We offer aeration in the spring once the ground is thawed and has received some moisture. We perform aeration again in the early fall. Since the tines of the aeration machine penetrate below the surface of the ground, we ask that customers mark their sprinkler heads to prevent accidental damage. The combination of aeration and spring mowing on a yearly basis is more beneficial than power raking and will prevent unnecessary thatch from accumulating.
